I have new bunks that I need to put on.

I noticed some scratches on my hull in line with one of the bunks. The carpet was ripped on that bunk, so I replaced it thinking that was the problem. Then I noticed scratches in line with another bunk. So I have a theory: Every time I pull my boat out there is sand on the trailer and spare tire. I believe sand is settling on the bunks and sanding the hull as I winch the boat on. Not sure what to do to stop it.

Why are you having to winch the boat on the trailer? You must launch at a very shallow ramp. We drive all the way on and the only place the bunks rub is right at the front. We back in until the front of the fenders is the only part showing and drive right up.

I think I broke it on a big wreck. It is the RonixViva. It's the 2nd ronix I've broken and about the 12th or so someone in my crew has broken. They keep replacing them though.

I spray down my bunks with silicon before I put the boat on. Read that somewhere...don't know if it help but I don't have any scratches and the stuff is cheap...
