Well, just had an odd exchange. Local fire/electrical code guy for the city I live in pulled by with a recent stereo install. He was distorting and cutting out real bad on his tower. I went and looked and he had the 4GA amp ground wire tied to the helm buss ground...... going back to the battery on 10GA...
Just goes to show even the electrical guys sometimes don't know electric....It's not an optical illusion.
