Wow, glad you didn't need amputation. I was reading about those bacteria when I lived in TX. There is a nasty brain eating one too. They like warm stagnant water, like the shallow water along the shore, in the sand or gravel. That's when I started NOT letting my kids play in that water, we get in the boat and get about 20-30 feet of water and then they can swim if they want.

The water was stagnent, just hit 90 degrees and I distrubed a nice Areomonas Sobria that was minding his own business. I injected it into the fresh cut at about 2400 psi... I have a nice whole in the toe but has been filling in. Should be back in the water by mid July!If its not fun, Why do it?
