Got the 30 day trial of Adobe Premiere Pro and threw together a quick 1:30 video edit.
I'm definately an amateur but this program rocks! I gotta find a "cheaper" copy of it.

I'm looking for a similar program for my wifes iMac, let me know what you find out, Adobe is pretty proud of their stuff...

Have you tried iMovie? The newest version you have on that Mac is pretty good for most home video type of edits. And it can export to YouTube and FB and other formats to burn DVDs with.

Unless you have a student discount, all thoe programs are going to be spendy. I've also tried final cut express at the apple store and it's got more features than iMovie but it costs about 200 bucks, still cheaper than adobe premiere I think.

that is quite the savings, we can get off road diesel here but I don't know about gas

Had an interesting weekend. Towing home yesterday the winds were so bad it ripped a strap off the cover. The strap then put 3 small chips in the gelcoat.
