I know WWS will take care of us. They will get first shot at everything. I try not to bash the places we buy boats from. So far Nick and Bill have gone above and beyond my expectations. I also told Nick if that level of service doesn't continue after we take delivery I'm going to kick him in the nuts. He's been warned....

I was looking and had wondered if is was this line - Does the stock kicker amp suck enough
That got me but only a little. As an OEM you deal with it. There is this perception that the little brands that don't have installation at the factory are somehow superior, but there is always a reason the little guys with the "cult status" brand names are not OEM... Unfortunately the "suck slide" is usually backwards, since the better gear is usually in the boat as the OEM brand, and usually gets the nod over the "cult status" brands from the boat plants for a number of reasons....
The boat builder might not put in the big amp you would but they have goals too, often based on price. As a vendor we place the best gear I their hands based on their criteria. Usually these systems will go pretty good for the majority of buyers.
Problem is, we as consumers are used to the "Chevy mentality" where when you buy a car it all comes form Chevy. It does the minimum job, but barely. All parts are Chevy brand; ho hum... It does not compare with exotics where you might get Borla exhaust, Brembo brakes, MSD ignition, Katskin leather seats, BFG tires, etc.
Boats are different, and are closer to the exotics with the name brand parts. Quality and performance... Joe d-bag boat owner on a 30 year note can't grasp the fact he has motor, prop, seats, pumps, windshields etc. from providers who are world-class and best at their biz.
Never mind, OEM speakers suck, they must, huh? I deal with it... Just wonder when the first d-bag will replace his motor, or windshield, or cleats 'cause they are OEM...
Can't cure stupid! All you can do is answer questions that are asked, what they do with your input is up to them and really none of your concern. Personally I find it really cool that all you guys post in these forums, it says a lot about your character and your pride in what you do. Says a lot when you take time to answer some random persons questions on a forum. Cheers to you Phil. And I agree, why people think OEM is crap is beyond me...there was a lot of thought, engineering, and collaboration that went into those decisions. I prefer as close to OEM as I can get unless there is a particular reason not to be.
His line reminded me of going to any restaurant or persons house and automatically putting salt and pepper on the food before taking a bite to see what it tastes like.

I think you make an excellent point Phil. And to be honest I was falling subject to that mentality myself with this new Axis I'm looking at.
Coming from no stereo in my Tige to what I was made to believe from buddies is the "best of the best" (Arc Audio and Wetsounds), I was beginning to think I needed to yank the stock Alpine amps and Titan tower speakers for, once again - Arc Audio and Wetsounds. But I've got to believe that you are right and whatever it up there, I'm going to able to hear just fine and I will be thrilled...
