Lol dingle! I don't want to do 70. I'd like the boat to still plane out if I decide to get crazy one day and throw an extra 1-2k of weight in the boat.

Timmy I have been contemplating the 5 blade but I've heard mixed reviews. I hearit might not be good at our altitude. Then I also heard it is good with the stock engine. I think this subject might need its own thread.

It all depends on what you want the prop to do. There is no way a prop can promise to increase hole shot AND increase top end speed unless the prop pitch is adjustable. Most are not, I've seen one adjustable pitch prop for a stern drive years ago but it obviously didn't do well in the real world, otherwise we would all have them by now.

Rode behind the F23 on Saturday with full ballast and only 3 people in the boat and it had a little trouble getting on plane. He has the 409 and the 14x14.25 OJ prop.

What magic prop is this that you speak of. I sent Nick at WWS a text to see what my options are from them.

Ewok I only care about pushing weight not top end.

I know you do, but some fools believe the marketing hype and expect the prop to be magic, and then write bad reviews when it doesn't live up to "their" expectations.

I had a 5 blade SS prop on my stern drive and it helped get the boat out of the water much faster than the stock 3 blade aluminum. Obviously it did not help the top end speed. The boat only had 200hp but I was able to get 300 lb guys up on wakeboards with it, and a boat full of people. 5 blades work, it's like big knobby snow tires digging in for better traction. If I need to re-prop after my ballast install I'll be looking at them.

No matter what prop you get you want to try to get in the recommended rpm range for the engine, this is why you need to re-prop at higher altitudes.

So this is why i love WWS. I sent Nick a text asking about prop options. Before we even did the demo he called Acme and explained what boat, engine and weight set ups we would be testing/buying. They told him the 1433 was the prop we wanted for said application. So we are all set up for the 1433 when the boat arrives!

If I had to pick between a 1433 and 1235 Id run the 1235 its a 14.5 vs a 14.0. same cup and pitch on both.. The 1235 is a .5 larger diam and will be better
