Yikes! The fact that the school hasn't contacted you over this would have me irate... I think. Especially with how much attention bullying is getting these days.

I understand they may want to investigate prior to getting parents up in arms, but I'm not sure that's a good enough excuse.

I wouldn't call the principal. I would likely be knocking on his door in the morning and meeting him face to face. In a professional manner, of course.

It's probably the wrong parenting, but I encourage my son to stick up for himself and if that means physically then so be it.

He's a super humble kid and is probably the type the could be subject to a bully although I don't know what he's like at school and not around me.

X2, I was a scrawny kid who got bullied until I fought the bully. I got my a$$ kicked but I never got bullied again. I also started to fill out a little after that so HS wasn't that bad for me, plus I grew a beard.
