I survived, but I didn't go the full distance I had signed up for. Between the hills (which I hate) and the wind (which I hate), riding alone, and never having ridden further than 25 miles - I decided that 46 would be a little too far. I didn't want to kill myself or end up having to quit on the course. So I turned around early and made it a 31 mile ride.

A little disappointed, but still happy considering the course profile, the conditions, and it was longer than I've ever ridden. Gotta just work on building up. Look at the damn course profile - nothing but up and down. Add in 15-18 mph constant wind with gusts around 25.

Mrs Dingle went the full distance. She and her friend were both spent by the end. Took them 11 hours. Even figuring breaks at the rest stations, they were probably in the saddle for about 10 hours. Makes my 2.5 hrs on the bike seem lame. Huge respect for their accomplishment.

He will get a lot more use out of this boat than the one he is replacing. It is a 27" Cobalt. Nice boat but not a wake machine.

I know, those 27" boats had hardly any wake. I had one of these 40" boats growing up and it wasn't much for wakes either
