Actually, I have one of those - won it last year at the Mead reunion - and I love it. I just bought one of the silver ones to go with it (and the silver and orange towels will complement our boat's colors nicely )

Timmy according to that eBay item page yours are 8mm wide. Is that extra 2mm a big deal?

The ones I use are about .315W. The width of the strip will effect the thickness of the ring. the ring needs to we thicker then the strip is wide or cupholder will sit on the strip and the the ring will be free.

I think bobbysky filled in the spray pockets on his, too, maybe a 23V? I seem to remember that he was relatively happy with the results.
