Bingo, this is exactly how mine is routed. It not my same motor (I don't think) but the belt configuration is the same. See how that belt is hardly on the crank?

I guess that's okay...

Hey, do I have to "prime" the motor with water after replacing the water pump? (Not the impellar - the cast circulating pump)

Or will it get all the water it needs from the lake?

It may take a minute for the block to fill and water to start to flow out of the exhaust, but no priming.
