It's a Sears Craftsman 32cc model 316.791810.
It starts, has a rough idle, but when I pull the gas trigger it dies out.

I've discussed it with my wife and it's not worth the time for me to rebuild the little carb on that thing, what would lance and wakeman22 recommend for a residential homeowner who doesn't like electric trimmers? And I'd like to spend 100 bucks or less.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

Look at the hoses from the tank to the carb; alcohol eats them up pretty quick. Make sure when you pump the primer bulb that it doesn't spray but still pumps firmly.
Oh, change the gas too.
30 minutes and 7 bucks to me seems worth trying. If you exceed either, go buy a new one; I have had good luck buying refurbs....It's not an optical illusion.
It just looks like one.....

I've done everything but change the gas, my inlaws took the kids out and I'm stuck at home with no car to get fresh gas. At the end of last year I replaced all the fuel lines.
I just read a thread on another site about cleaning the muffler so I'll give that a try.
I even tried seafoam but that didn't help either.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

Mine is a Husqavarna from Lowes and has been used tons and I got it in 2003. I may have paid a bit over $100.
