      If you had a spot to leave it in the water it wouldn't take long for a metal shop to fab a new winch bracket and have it ready to go and then weld it in the same spot as the original, It might only take a morning.

        Yikes Skippa is that C channel or square tubing? iwndr what mine is. I'll go see. methinks somebody hit that hard when they were loading one day

            After seeing skippa's problem it made me remember my trailer and what we discussed. When you did your brackets how did you paint it to match the rest of the trailer?

                            What I might be able to do is get a shop to build the new one and have it all ready. Then I could drop the boat off at the lake, maybe my wife, kids, buddy and his family then I can run get it done.

                                Yeah, and its better in that stall. I had it in the double stall last winter and it is 3" shorter. I have to take the platform off and drop the taps plate off the actuator
