I'm pretty sure I've convinced myself that I'm done with diesel pickups. My next will most likely be the F-150 Ecoboost. Except...
I just built my 40' shop in my backyard to house my truck and boat. My intentions are that the truck gets paid off in 19 more payments and I want to preserve this one for 10 more years if possible. I hate making truck payments (and it frees up some capital for that A22)
So I got myself a 3 year lease on a 2.5L VW Golf. I drive that to work and left my wife in the diesel Jetta - even though she doesn't work, she puts as many miles on her car as me!

I have a hard time getting better than 27mpg in the golf. So I'm literally getting 18-20mpg better in the Jetta when I drive that.


I can see myself in the Golf R though. All wheel drive 280hp ripper... Or the Audi S3 if they ever bring that to the US.

the whole dingle clan went to the local AAA baseball game last night

the dinglets each got a game-used ball and a signature from one of the other team's players that had crushed a 3-run homer waaay over the center field wall

funny thing - Aidan seemed even more excited because that player also gave him the half bag of sunflower seeds he had in his pocket

only bad things about the night were that Las Vegas lost the game, and we didn't get home until 11:00, which should make the dinglets nice and tired for school today

it was also $1 beer night at the ballpark, which is always a good thing

It is cool that the players spend time and do things to get the younger ones excited about the sport.
