I just about jumped out of my seat when I saw that video. Then it took me 10 min to read all the PW posts to get caught up and make sure you guys didn't post it already. Iwndr if Tige changed it's official position or if it's going to pull that video now that we are making a big deal about it in the general section.

I don't know if it was their official position. All the manuals that I saw for my year said nothing about not doing it. Plus if I recall the dealer said that it was ok.

About a year ago one or two users stated that Tige does not approve of pulling a tube from a pylon or tower. And there were explanations of pulling from the D rings and the force it generated. The only "approved" place was to have a tow hook on the transom.

Interestingly one of the users that was going by the "law" veered off the path in other areas and deemed that it was ok to pick and choose which ones were a must.

The past few years a few threads pop up where people question the warnings about towing from the ski pylon or from the tower that their boat may or may not have. WABoating went so far as to re-design his transom grab bar so it is re-enforced to tie a tube to it. It got pretty heated for a while. So I found it pretty amazing to see that little blurb on the tube towing instructional video on the youtube channel.
