Getting excited to run some more tonight and wrap us this project! The weather is supposed to be good this weekend so that will make for a good water test
Do you have Kicker amps? One of the reasons I went with the ZXM was because I have that 700.5 with the bass controller. If I didn't have the bass controller, I would have went with a 420 and spent the extra cash.
What amps and size wire do you have? The factory only runs 8 gauge power to the factory Kicker 700.5 which is not big enough. I am pretty sure that my system is louder after swapping that 8 gauge out for 0 gauge and a dist block.
Yes I have the Kicker amps. I have the 700.5 and I think it is the 350.4 (without looking). I am guessing I just have the factory wire (looks the same as what is in the pic a couple of posts up). I knew you had made some changes so that was why I asked. Do you have any pics of the dist block and what the wiring looks like? I will do a search to see.
CHP has definetly put a few packages together this winter! Thanks Mike
Yes, about 2 a week for the past couple of weeks.

It must be something in the bottled water they deliver to all the boat builders CC uses 8ga, MC has used 8ga.
Gutting the wire and running either dedicated 4ga or a 1/0 trunk-line with blocks is an improvement. If nothing more, the amps run cooler with proper current flow.
If your are ready to tackle, let me know....I stock all you need

If someone just wants zone controll, the ZXM is a better route. No long RCA runs and true 3-zone volume control when you have a sub controller.
For those looking for the added features of an EQ, talk-back, etc, the WS-420 gets it done right!

Do you need to do both the ground and the power?
I might have to wait. I think I have already spent my boat cash.
