Everything works great but one thing. The light that is supposed to light up when you have the switch engaged does not work. Any ideas?

Yes. B+ that runs the pumps also it the B+ that lights the light. It goes to the middle terminal #2, The ground for the lights is the lone terminal at the top, #7. In short, you only need a ground to the switch for the light. The lights B+ comes from the same source that goes through the switch to power the pump.

Pull the red wires marked with the green arrows and see what happens.

I tried removing that wire and now they don't light up when the boat lights are on.

That wire I tapped into an existing switch for the boat lights (I used red 14 gauge because that was what I had). The black 14 gauge next to it is the ground.

Terminal 2 is the power from the breaker.

Terminal 1 above 2 is the drain pump wire.

Terminal 3 below 2 is the fill pump.

skippa do you have a multi tester? You may try and pin it out and see where you are going wrong. chp may recognise that switch back. looks nothing like mine.
