It seems that I have heard of people thining the wires to make it fit.

If you thin down the wires they won't be able to carry as much load will they? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me

Ok dumb question. I am using 12 gauge for the B+ power to the switches and have insulated 12 gauge terminals. As well as 14 gauge for the ground and lights with 14 gauge terminals. I am daisy chaining them from one switch to the next. How do you get the pair in one terminal?

They lake a little piggy-back terminal thingy. It has a female that pushes on to the male spade of the switch, then has two males for you two wires.

Or, pull the insulation off your terminal, spread it open a little and then crimp and solder the two wires in there. Then re-insulate with heatshrink that covers from the tip of the terminal to past the wire insulation.

My heater is mounted in the compartment ahead of the Helm, I see some folks are mounting theirs under the dash, I would be scared of it springing a leak there and getting the electronics wet...
