I can't remember if the Samson's use the Tige plate or it mounts to the tower.

The only bad part is every surfboard I have has seen damage from being in the rack.

They will get dings from being beat around in the boat also though...

That is good to know and might direct me back to surf pockets in the bimini. Any con about surf pockets? Right now I keep my better board in a LF wakeboard bag in the walkway. Kind of in the way.

Would the tower speakers get in the way? On mine they would so I would have to have the board in sideways.

I can't decide which is better, on my nylon clamps I put the first ones with the clamp up thinking it would be away from the boat. Then I thought that maybe it would hit the hatch lid. So the next ones I put facing down. But now I am thinking the sac will fill up and touch them. I don't know if it will cause any damage. Sideways might be an option but would still touch the sac, I am guessing.

I didn't think so, I think I have a lot of clearance. I will have to check. Is yours a factory one or one from Paul's?
