SSD in my line of work means that your rocks are saturated surface dry...so they are wet but not dripping
have a hard time understanding why that is any good for a computer

SSD = Solid State Drive or in other words it's compact flash. I have a server here at work that has 3 terabytes of these drives. That was an EXPENSIVE purchase.

If it is the same one I heard a couple of weeks ago yes. The pilot never said anything until they were deplaning and just made a joke about it.
