I know I need to be real careful, this is not product or brand bashing, but rather just a funny observation about how nothing is really new...

I used to spend tons of time in our university library pouring through old stereo and audio magazines from the 40's through through the 60's and 70's. It is fun to see the cyclic nature of gear and how it comes back into vogue every so often...

Remember the Sub/Satellite home speaker systems from the late 70's and 80's? You used to be able to buy sub/satellite speaker systems where the satellite speakers had grills that looked like book spines... this in about 1958 if I am not mistaken....
