Agree they are amazing they just wear out pretty quick because thae rubber is too soft, if I run snow tires I go through two new sets a year, with all seasons I get by with one set a year.
Now on two wheel drives I install snow tires, I just don't own two wheel drives but daughter #3 is getting within 3 years of driving so I'll be getting one soon again

We don't get alot of snow in Va.When we do all the rookies are in the ditch. Those who have experience drive by slowly and are under alot more control.Except for that idiot in the Snap-on truck.Idon't know who he thinks he is?

I don't run them on 4wd, just RWD cars. The front wheel drive cars that I had did fine in the snow without them but my 2wd pickups and my Mustang have both benefited from them tremendously.

I run very loose bindings because I also suck at wakeboarding so when I crash I want no part of that Board

I run tight bindings because I take so many hard crashes that I used to pop out of them a lot

Yeah but you actually leave the water surface in a controlled manner, When I leave the surface it is usually an unscheduled event

I think you also put many more miles/year than I do. A good set of snow tires will last me 2-3 winters. In my car I put about 10k miles a year. A little less than that on the 4runner.

I guess I'm still bitter about my crash, two pickups without snow tires or good AT tires hit me on the highway and totaled my car. I had just bought new wheels and snow tires for that car. I still really miss that car

Massive, but they are good fixed ballast also

I think they would take away space for real ballast though. LOL!

I know, it's gone, but stupid winter drivers still piss me off.
