That's Lake Pyramid. It's a 20 minute drive from my house, and also was the default background on the first gen iPads.

This lake is connected to Lake Tahoe by the Truckee river. So its cold early season, but when the temps hit 100+ cause it's in the middle of the desert the 70 - 74 temp waters are AMAZING!!

The only problem, and it's not really a problem in my eyes, is that the lake has alkaline in the water. So you better wipe it down with a 50/50 mixture of water and vinegar as soon as you get off the water, and make sure to flush the engine as soon as you get home.

There is a lake in UT/ID that is clear like that, but it is cold.
