The Expy has a very roomy third row seat and it is easy to get into and out of the third row. The slightly squared off corners were good for my wife when trying to park it so she knows how much room she has to maneuver. The ride was the least truck like thanks to the independent rear suspension and it has about all the features we want for the least money of the pack, except the dodge, since it's smaller. The only thing holding us back from pulling the trigger is waiting to see if it will get the ecoboost or 5.0 V8.

We would be very happy with all the SUVs except the Toyota and the Chevy. I know the suburban would give us more room in the third row seats but we need it to fit in my garage with the boat and the burb is a little too long. The Expy has just the right amount of room, capacity, amentities and price for us.

Also, I feel better about buying a ford sice they didn't take the bail out, and I like the ford synch features for my gadgets, I am a little bit of a geek too.

I agree about Ford and no bailout. If I were looking at a new vehicle, Ford would probably be the only American brand I would consider.

It's also crazy how our American companies are building our cars overseas and our foreign rivals are building factories in the US. Very hard to tell what is an American company anymore.

Yeah, I know. Isn't the Camry considered the "most American" car when you consider the source of parts and assembly?

Oh well, unless one of our vehicles dies, I don't plan to get another for a few years yet.

I wondered if you were looking at the shorter Expy.

For me I think I ruled them all out except for the longer Expy and the Denali XL or the cousins Navigator L and Cadillac ESV. I not only need the seating but somewhere to put stuff if we travel. It seemed that there are several vehicles that can handle 6+ but not 6+ and bags. Unless you do a roof rack.
