Whew!
Finally got my new steering cable run. Took me a few hours to fight with it. Damn thing just couldn't make it through the hole in the floor (that damn nut to connect to the support sleeve was just a hair too big to make it through). After trying for way too long, I broke out the dremel and ground out the edge of the hole. About 1/4" more was enough, and I got the damn thing through. Ran it to the rudder, connected it, and then found out that this new cable was too short. Didn't have enough length to feed it back under the helm.
Since I couldn't find any markings on the old one, I had looked here on TO and told spbfan that I thought it was 21-ft. He called Tige and Harvey told him no - that they use 19-ft for the RZ4. Andrew questioned him on it, because the 24v uses a 21-footer. But Harvey apparently was adament that it should be 19. So he shipped me a 19-footer. Guess what - it needs to be 21.
