So do you get anything in return for your kindness, besides just a warm feeling for being a good neighbor? Maybe you need to "suggest" to your neighbors that your boat could use a good buff and polish...

Most of the ones I do are older. It is kind of interesting that people move "out" here and aren't really prepared to tackle the snow (not even a snow shovel). I have cleared my driveway by hand until two years ago. I have always had at least 200 feet if not more to clear. I always hated it when I was out doing it by hand and others were whipping around on their 4 wheelers and wouldn't help. So I have decided that I will go around and help others. Trying to be a good neighbor.

It would be nice to get something since I have spent over $500 in parts that have worn, thats not even counting the gas I have gone through.

I was going to have my son do it as a winter job to earn a little spare cash, I did it when I was his age, but since I am already doing it for free I didn't know how they would react.
