Got the fuel filters changed today, along with the oil filter and the oil is finishing draining now. Gotta change the tranny fluid tomorrow and try to figure out the damn impeller. Oh, and drain the water. Steering cable might be here by the end of the week.

Doing the work myself feels good. As long as my engine doesn't end up blowing up

No worries, I always spill a little, especially from the oil filter, it never fails.

Im winterizing a 25ft Chaparral right now. Oil and filter, fuel filter, impeller (its an 07 and never done), added antifreeze to the fresh water sink and chitter. All thats left is to change the outdrive oil. Again, 200+ hours on an 07 and the outdrive has not be changed. The boat has been serviced by the dealer in years past. Had to order a prop nut to remove the inner prop on the Duoprop drive.

Yeah, Iwndr just how much of the annual maintenance was actually done properly by mine. Maybe all of it, I don't know. But I know someone who caught him in a lie about the work that had been done.
