Heater at the house quit. Got a new whole-house HVAC ordered for install in the next two weeks, but that doesn't help me now...

Hate throwing money at something I am getting rid of, but the contractor said he could get someone out and not charge me if it was an easy bandaid... GOnna meet them out there is a few in hopes we can get it running...

Sorry to hear that, I had my AC quit on my in TX Just after I moved in. It was a 1000 plus tax fix to repair an old inefficient unit or 10,000 to put in a brand new ultra efficient system, I put the new system in. Dropped my electric bill from 550/month to 250/month in the summer and down to 80 in the winter. It paid for itself in 3 years, and would still be saving me money if I still lived there.

The original unit was a 10 SEER air conditioner with electric heat and I replaced it with a 17 SEER, dual stage compressor air/air heat pump with a new variable speed air handler and some new return duct work as well.

I also got to go to a concert tonight, the comedian Gabriel Iglesias opened with a very funny comedy show and then we had a set from Daughtry. I'm not a huge fan but it was a free concert and they played very well, they rocked the hanger. We converted one of our portable small hangers for the show, here is a pic:

I am going from God knows what, (it is original to the house) 3 ton air-air heat pump to a 4-ton 13-SEER air-air heat pump with an emergency heat strip for backup. I was looking at a dual stage but couldn't justify going to the added expense.

My contractor, who does all the Kicker HVAC work says we should be cutting close to half on our heating and cooling dollar-wise.
