I see no speakers mounted to the dock.
The luck is gone, the brain is shot, but the liquor we still got.

          Phil,
Great looking dock plans, however, you might check your baluster spacing as most codes require you to not be able to fit a 4 inch sphere through the spacing. This is to keep an infant from getting their head through there. I know you just had a little one and would not let them on the dock unattended. You might check on this as it is easier to do it right and pass inspection the first time. Good luck.

            Where's the 2 pair of KB6000's and L7 going?

Looks sweet! How much trouble/cost is it to get a permit for a rebuild? Here is almost impossible to get a rebuild permit. Its easier to cut your old dock loose one night, let it float to the dam and then apply for a new construction permit Not that I know of anyone that cut an old fully-enclosed boat house go one night

I already had new railing installed on my deck last sprig when I did my deck addition. We can get away with spacing as provided by a 2x6. What I drew is more or less just a schematic representation. With our plans submission, the less detaill you provide, the greater leeway you have...

Permit is not too tough. This is on a lake owned by the local university, (#2 OK STATE). They have minimum guidelines you have to meet or exceed and you have to submit a form detailing materials used, written description, and a plan like I posted. The guy who approves it all is a friend, so I usually will run stuff by him to get his input prior to formal submission. I will include this drawing with the paperwork the univerisuty requires. They review it and file it with your site use agreement and then let you know you are good-to-go.

They have a desire to get all the old open foam docks off the lake, so this is part of their grand plan to improve water and wildlife conditions. I am just beating them to the punch submitting replacement plans before they condemn my existing dock!

Our lakes, controlled by Duke Energy only allow up to 25% material replacement per year without a permit. Any more then that, and its almost impossible to get approved But all new home sights automatically include a new dock permit.
