A bolt over the wheel well
Dependding on what the bolt is holding, it might not be a very good ground. We will tend to try to get to a seatbelt bolt. THe reasoning is that the seatbelt needs to be connected to something of real substance, so it is likely going to be the actual chassis, (if a non-unibody car) or one of the major body-frame members.

Bolts in other parts of the body might be connected to parts that are only spot welded, or worse glued or taped on. It is hard to tell with a simple VOM as well... While a crappy ground might not have good current carrying capacity, it will still read zero volts and/or near-zero DCR. Think about this, at low currents and voltage, a lightbulb connected to ground will still look like ground to a VOM...

Look for a different ground Zad, it might very well fix your problem.

For mine, I always thought it was due to the 8ga power/ground wire that Tige ran from the factory but I upgraded to 0 gauge this year and it still does it. The IX500.4 and ZX200.2 never shut off.

I think mine is 8ga. I remember from your last post about that, so I checked. Another thing to add to my list.

Not sure, but is that possibly the shock mount? If so it might be beefy enough metal. Still it does not look as if you scraped any paint away... The ground wire lug needs to be firmly in contact with bare metal of the car's body, not just the bolt or nut.

See if you can figure out what that bolt is holding or connected to. IT could give us a better clue as to whether or not that is a good enough ground.

Strut tower is a bad ground....to much rubber insulating the strut from the body and suspension. Go to one of the rear seatbelt buckle bolts, just be sure to retorque.

CHP will know better than me on your newer car.

I am used to real chassis cars, and shocks insteat of struts... I guess I am a Model A, F-100 pickup kind of guy... Old school stuff.

What he said..... go to the seatbelt mount
