I pulled my impeller when I winterized and it's in good condition, I'll put it back in the spring. My boat was a leftover so it sat at the dealer for a year and it had 1.2 hours on it when I got it home. When I checked the original impeller this past spring it was dry rotted and was looking like it might break up soon so I put a new one in. I think if a boat sits and the impeller dries out and doesn't get stored properly it will go bad. If you use the boat like an average user and pull it out for winter storage it can last many years. But peace of mind comes in many prices for different folks, it's not wrong to change it regularly if it gives you peace of mind.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.
