Can anybody explain to me why the hell the president flies into a commercial airport, disrupting everything around (and sending home his union brothers from all the construction jobs!), when there is a major air force base located in the same city? Wouldn't it be more secure and less disruptive to fly into a military installation?

Oh, perhaps that would require an extra half-hour of motorcade driving to his destination...which usually is just a damn political fundraiser for his buddies.

Our guys would have been pissed if they were still working on the new parking garage at the airport and were told to go home.

I love it I do remember a couple comments from members of this forum saying Mead would be dry in 4-5 years though Boy am I glad he was dead wrong

I haven't seen anything in our union contract as it relates to Presidential stopage of work. Maybe they could throw up a quick picket though
