How does the Mrs like it?
Mrs. likes it a LOT!
Got the AV install started... HD receivers in transit on the brown truck. Need to buy some RJ45 parts and have dad-in-law come out to install connections for IR repeater and composite video send to the outdoor TV on the patio.Last edited by philwsailz; 10-10-2011, 07:41 PM.It's not an optical illusion.

Satellite stuff was there at the lake already, just needed to re-dedicate some of the "cable" runs in the RV and convert them to our needs. Got that done this weekend, so all TV's that came with the thing now get both terrestrial TV and satellite. Reception is fuzzy at the moment, but that will improve with the HD box, as the RF out will not be taxed so hard...It's not an optical illusion.

Limited space too for standard home electronics... Gonna have to get creative on this one...It's not an optical illusion.

Most come with DVD players these days, but the DVD player is also driving the built-in surround(?) speakers. If you play a movie, you get surround sound, (if the speakers are actually good enough) but if you are trying to watch a TV show or movie off of the antenna, you cannot go OUT from the TV to any amplification. YOu only get TV sound through the TV speakers.

I may swap the TV for a SONY I have at home that has true AV out. Then I can take the unit from the camper and install it there at home; the SONY is in the garage driving a dual-stereo installation. The headphone out will likely suffice there. It's not an optical illusion.
