Speaking of insurance, I made a boo-boo and didn't renew my boat insurance in time this year (long story). Anyway, as soon as I realized, I called BoatUS to see if I could just renew late. They said no - I had to apply and start from scratch. OK, whatever. Weird thing is that, for the exact same coverage, same agreed value, same everything...my payment was $100 less for a year's coverage than if I had just renewed my existing policy.

So I screwed up and ended up saving money.
