Here's a rub a guy shared on my gun forum, it's good.
Pete’s BBQ Rub Recipe
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons paprika (smoked paprika is best)
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 teaspoon ground anchoa pepper
1 teaspoon ground chipolte pepper
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard (Coleman’s in the yellow can if you can afford it)
Combine all ingredients into a plastic container having a lid. Mix well with a fork or spoon. Put lid on container and shake to thoroughly mix ingredients. This recipe makes enough rub to cover one large rack of ribs, one pork roast, 8 pork chops, or one whole chicken.
Sprinkle mixture on meat and rub it in with the back side of a spoon so that it adheres. Cook or smoke meat on grill. Remember that the brown sugar will char if meat is cooked over direct heat.
As you might imagine, this is a moderately spicy recipe. Alter the amount of pepper to suit your taste or alter the amount of rub that you apply to the meat.
