I have heard that closed to are supposed to give you more control. My buddy just got a pair and really likes them.

Plus like you said it keeps your toes warmer.

Stock used to be the 537 on the Bu's but they went to the 1939, so around 2000 pounds plus a few people we are fine. Going 3000 pounds plus people I changed props, of course we're pulling a wedge too.

Yeah, I'm not sacking out my Tige, even when I put my surf ballast in it won't be that full. And it's just usually my wife and kids in the boat. All my friends say its too cold to go out, they would rather stay inside and watch football

That's what Benj says, they're more responsive.

I can send you a used 143 LF Witness with closed toe Watsons fairly cheap if you want to try something different.

If my kids grow up to be great riders like Benj then I'll sack it out and re-prop. I might get a better prop anyhow and use my stock prop as a weekend saver.

We were talking about insurance tonight at the chow hall and I accidently let it slip how much my boat was becuase I had it surveyed and insured for that agreed value. My boss who spend 9K on a mountain bike spit milk through his nose.

I didn't add a pound of ballast until he could land a backroll. It's awesome your kids get ride a great wake from the start.

I am hoping my boy takes off on it. He is athletic, so we will see how he does.
