No.
It really replaces the head unit of you choose, or you can use it to get iPod/iPhone control from a remote while charging he Apple device and just tie it in on an AUX input for a radio that does not have Apple control.

BUT!

If you have Sony gear, you can use any stock installed Sony remotes at the transom or elsewhere and they will control the PXi50.2
