Had an interesting Friday night. I couldn't leave work as early as I wanted, so we got away later than I hoped. Finally passed Echo Bay marina as it was getting dark. Started looking for a campsite on the east shore in the dark. Ended up all the way to the north end and hadn't seen them. By then it was totally dark, and no moon for light. Slowly worked back down the shore, finding only a couple campers and none were TO's.
Almost ran aground several times, when I would notice brush sticking out of the water directly ahead of me and the depth gauge reading 10-ft. The boys were getting worried, I couldn't reach anyone on the phone, and finally I just went to the marina since I knew that several folks had rented floatel houseboats there. When I showed up, I found out that they couldn't locate a suitable site on the shore and everyone had crashed there for the night. Longest three hours I've ever had on our boat.

Playing around a bit with ballast on the Z3 was interesting. Water was crappy Sat morning, but we tried to setup for wakeboarding. Ballast full. And the wake was pretty bad - tons of wash.
We ended up switching over to surfing, wake was OK, but really need to spend a little time to figure it out the best. I'm sure ragboy will figure out how to make it very good.
So, on the way back to the marina, Tall decided, just for chits and giggles, to see the wakeboard wake without any ballast. It looked great! And damn big. Strange. We were all scratching our heads.

im hurting today. the wind came up when pulling off the lake, Laid the red tide on the sun deck, when pulling in to trailer the boat a gust of wind blew the red tide ride into the back of my neck. while stunned trailered the boat perfectly as another boater went into the reed on the side of the ramp. Had a great weekendLast edited by xpjim1; 09-26-2011, 01:53 AM.Let it be!!!
