So each of those speakers are 4 Ohm correct? So with a Sub he should need a 5 channel amp, correct?
The horn and the midrange driver are 4-ohms, yes, but the crossover is built so that they present a 4-ohm load to a stereo amplifier when wired in parallel. It is just like a coaxial speaker, where two drivers, (the little tweeter and the midrange driver) are wired in parallel. As such, you DO NOT want or need to run each driver on their own amp channel. That has been one of the more fun things to explain to people, how two 4-ohm drivers wired in parallel still provide a 4-ohm load... The key is the crossover.
Most 5-channel amplifiers do not have enough power to drive the KM6500.2's to their normal ideal operating level, (they are rated at 200 RMS). YOu want a minimum of 150 watts RMS per side, and I really personally like 250 RMS per side. I will recommend you buy an amp for the KM65500.2's separate from the subwoofer. I like using the Kicker IX500.4 in bridge mode; it is Class D and delivers 250 a side very efficiently....

You can use a stereo amp in full range mode and run the way you describe, but that is so 1980's. You can buy small sub amps so cheaply these days you would be better served to use a small stereo amp set to hi pass for the 5" speakers, and a small sub aqmp set to low pass for the subwoofer. OTehrwise you are dealing with passive devices, a big honking coil, (at least) on the sub, and bass-blocker caps, (at least) for the 5" speaekrs.

Totally un-related. You size your passive devices based on impedance and frequency. You will then always use at least a 50V cap or coil. 50V will cover the poweraspect of it as you asked...
