speaking of pylon...I need to get a socket and tighten mine down

Does anyone remember the size? For some reason, a 1-1/8" thin wall deep socket sticks in my mind as the appropriate one to make sure that my pansy pylon doesn't detach.

Any, yes, I would prefer to not have my pylon be yanked out entirely.

I think that it is 1 1/16".

I think that 1 1/8" is the steering cable nut.

I was in WABs boat last weekend and on the water, there was very little difference in interior room between the RZ2 and 24Ve. Of course the bow is smaller on the 24Ve, and the room in the cockpit is just a little bit bigger, but only by inches. The real size advantage is the locker room and storage under the bow seats. My RZ has no room under the bow seats with the 400# sac up there. The bow storage in the 27Ve seems deeper than my bow storage, mostly due to the hull shape on the RZ. My rear lockers are a bit smaller too, as is the swim platform. And the regular pointy bow prevents big rollers from swamping the bow better than my RZ does, but if you know how to drive you can mitigate that slight risk in the RZ.

I like my RZ more than the 24 Ve mostly because it fits in my garage!!!
