My youngest is 5 and he's all fired up about it, but every time we get out on the water he gets nervous and won't try.

He'll get it one day Five. Mine decided one day to board when he was 8. He rode the wakeboard for 10 miles... then told me to give him the knee board. He rode that for a while.. then told me to give him a single ski. He got up first try and rode it for a while. Finally.. he was tired and got in the boat after two hours. He's been goin' ballzout since then.

I remember when I took my boat out for a test drive. (Yikes, I actually test drove a 12 year old boat!) The old man told me (quote)

"You don't need ballast at all. These Tige boat's have a special wakeboarding plate called taps and it makes a pro wake. My son jumps wake to wake with it all the time"

I was told the same at the dealer last year, in regards to surfing. Kind of surprised me. I think this year they started to get ballast in the boats. The ones I saw still only had the basic and I was told that was more than enough.

So sad... Please put this on your status if you know or are related to someone who suffers from stupidity. People need to understand that stupidity is real and should be taken seriously. You could be sitting next to a stupid person right now. There is still no known cure for stupidity and sympathy does not help.
