Today is cold and overcast. Like a Marine layer from San Francisco made it all the way in to me here.

Oh well, was only planning on going out to clean up the houseboat anyway.

Waiting to go boating with some friends. They have been wanting us to go out on their glastron for a year now. They are just learning the whole boating thing. It seems nothing goes right and they a less then willing to take advice. If it wasn't for my wife I would not be going on this adventure. Wish me luck. I thinking we are going to need it. They think getting to the boat ramp at 10 am is early and 30 min wait in line is not bad. LOL If I am waiting longer then 5 mins frustration sets in. That is why we are on the lake most weekends at 7 am earlier if my brother n law go out. Later.

All these stories about boat ramps and long waits... I swear I have the best spot in the world. Always calm, never a wait and water that looks like it was spread out with a butter knife.

Day eight on Lake HAVASU has come to an end. Boat all clean and safely back into storage condo. Had my longest free surf ride yesterday. Only about 15 seconds but it's a start. Only minor issues. More hours this week on the boat than the last two years combined. 53 year old men should not tube. My shoulder us killing me. Oh well great vacation is ending and back to work Monday.

I'm just a wee bit frustrated today. The friends joining us today wanted a little later start because the husband had worked the night shift. So we didn't meet at the marina until 8:00. Forecast had called for extremely light winds until after noon, but a stiff breeze met us at the marina. Drive over to the close sheltered riding area, and there were several boats running on less than great water. So we ran all the way through the narrows to the other basin of the lake to find some beautiful water.

And no one on the boat wanted to ride. Everyone else wanted to just lounge around for a while. Argh!!! After a good hour or so, when folks were finally done with sunning, then the wind kicked up and it was whitecap time.

Did a little more cruising before finally pulling off the water. Just so irritated that we had flat water begging to be ridden for over an hour (even after a later than normal start), yet I didn't get to ride a damn thing because everyone else wanted to just effing sun themselves.

Finally had my first good day on the water of my Tige today. Water was a bit rough but I didn't care my boat worked.
