I don't know what would be the right gun to take down a pissed off momma grizzly on a full charge, but if I had to choose I would pick a 12 gauge auto with hot loads and slugs


I've been in the park and witnessed some half charges and you would be surprised on how much ground they can cover in a very short amount of time. And the one I saw was crossing a river.

Don't know that I want to witness that. We do have some grizzlies less than 5 miles from us at the zoo.

I was on a overlook looking down on about 20-30 people who walked down to the river to get a better view of a sow grizzly with a older set of cubs. I told the wife and girls how they were making a poor decision and as we were watching the sow charged them and covered about 40 yards across the yellowstone in about 4 seconds and stopped. You should have seen those tourist scatter. I think would think that a few of them needed some clean shorts

sure looks nice. Glad you got out. The weather sure is cooperating - hope it lasts to the weekend. We did 8 hours of surfing on Saturday, I got my fill this weekend.
FYI - Starting July 1, Lake Sammamish charges $10 Wa state park fee + $7 launch fee. For $70 online you can get an annual pass.
