    what up, skippa?
Trying to catch up with work and get everything ready to go to a family reunion. I got back late last night and get to turn around and drive back. I haven't decided if I am leaving tomorrow night or early early Friday morning.

Sounds like you are going to have easy access to the lake soon.

Yup - pretty excited. Will definitely make things easier. Well, most things, anyway.

Skip, sorry to hear about your rather, hope he heals up quickly.

I lerned to surf behind my old boat, an I/O. I had this swimplatform installed which covered the prop when the drive was fully down. I was just learning, still am, but wasn't good enough to pump and charge at the boat like I can with my new boat. I didnt get the platform for surfing, I got it to make the boat easier to get in and out of for wake boarding, but I thought it was safe enough to try it out. Some newer I/O are coming standard with a bigger swim platform, mine was about 3' deep.

I just tried searching for injuries related to I/O surfing and couldn't find any with google, so not much has made the news in the last few years. I would not have tried it if I didn't have that platform, and people without a big platform to cover the prop probably shouldn't do it, but it also made me want to get a v-drive real bad. I guess what I'm saying in 500 words is that surfing behind an I/O will make that boat owner want to and most likely trade up to an inboard.

Here is a pic of the old boat

Today my boss saw a picture of my boat and asked - "Is that a Bayliner?" - I'm going to show him this picture. Of course, he's clueless.

He was track riding on a dirt bike then went on a trail ride. he was behind and there was a boulder in the trail and he didn't see it until too late because of the dust. He tried to avoid it and ended up getting thrown about 30 feet. He made it to the hospital and they said he was good and sent him home, yet he could not walk. Ended up going to a different hospital the next day because he was in so much pain and could not move. Ended up that he has 4 broken ribs, not cracked, and a broken hip. Along with several pulled muscles. His oxygen was way low when he went to the second hospital.

He is back home now and in tons of pain. It is one of those that is going to take a bunch of time to heal.
First, I wish him a speedy and full recovery - gotta be hard to sleep with broken ribs. Sounds like the first Hospital should be sued for malpractice!
