I still wonder how he is going to get warranty work unless he takes it right to the factory which I thought you could not do.
I think (but I'm not 100% sure) that, if you don't have a dealer in your designated territory, Tige will allow other boat mechanics to perform warranty work at the dealer reimbursement rates.
I paid for my first boat with a loan from my 401K, this one, saved up for several years. Getting too old for payments.
I had everything paid for, that was how I was raised. After I got married my wife taught me the saying that you only live once. Which is true. My dad worked tons, still does and we missed out on a lot of things because of it. But I have some values that can't be replaced by money. IMPO there has to be a happy balance.
Knowing what I know now, however, I would buy used.
I know that I have posted on many threads asking if they have to have new. I know that doesn't help the dealers but if it is more affordable I think it helps you enjoy your boat a little more. It wouldn't be much fun to have a $800 + payment and not be able to afford to hit the lakes.
You still have a boat and internet, unless your at the library.
{No offence}
But I really need a house. Living in my parents duplex is about to drive me to the crazy house. We bought 15 acres of land 3 years ago with the intention of building but that is as far as we have gotten. I could get this done quicker without a boat payment, but I love my boat.
