I really like that RZR but it feels tight compared to an RZ2. If it had been out when we went from our 19' Rinker, I guarantee that is what we would have bought because it feels so much bigger than a 20' runabout.

I have an '07 Transcend and love it. Mine doesn't have as much pop as some of these newer flex boards but I have ridden a lot of other CWB's, and some Liquid Force and don't like them as much as this one.

I would probably hate being him going to a dealer in TX for warranty work. It seems that the new ones always have some small thing that needs to be done. Well the old ones too, but that is a different story.

Maybe we will see a new thread in here in a couple months about not getting warranty work done. Hope not. He can't even say that it was one that was built the exact way he wanted and was just sitting waiting for him.

I have an '09 Transcend Platinum. But I suck, only occasionally even make it wake-to-wake, so I don't have much to tell you about the quality of the board, how it pops, how fast it is, etc.

But I had gotten it (year-old closeout) because it seemed to be a board that almost all comments about it were positive over on WW.

                  x2

Understandable to buy non-current model year boats from a distant dealer. But build-to-order?

I can imagine the TX dealers on the phone right now, b!tching to corporate about WWS poaching in their territory.

Before we bought ours, I called the dealer in Helena, MT. Figured that if it was a huge price difference, we could make a trip back home and haul it back here.

He flat out refused to discuss sales on current model year boats when he found out that I lived in, and would register the boat in, Nevada.

Should have told him you were moving home.

What do you think? Sales tax break maybe?

I don't know, I thought taxes were better in TX. I know when I lived in UT lots of people were registering things in TX.

I would hate to make that drive from TX to CO for warranty. And I thought an hour was bad to get to the dealer.

My Dad has used a LLC in Montana when he buys vehicles or RVs due to no sales tax but makes the purchases local just tells the dealer he is registering it with his LLC

A year or so ago here the new had a big story on people in CO doing the same thing. I want to say the were offering rewards for people to turn others in. They did that in UT for people that registered in ID.
