Was my question that difficult to answer or did I overdo my history prior to getting to the question in my Alternator / Isolator thread?

I know how an isolator would isolate batteries, but what does an "140amp" Isolator do?

I think it's an awesome idea myself. I've seen a lot of trucks rhino lining a "rocker panel" and it doesn't look half bad...

I wouldn't do it to my truck, but my trailer is a possibility! I have a little rust on one of my fenders as well.

You could two tone it just like paint and once done that would be it, Just make sure you don't seal in any rust
