For loading I submerge my Fenders just under the water also, but I would think that would vary on differently sloped ramps.
For unloading I just back it in till she starts floating off.
My crew does not back trailers or drive boats on or off. The only time I get to back it off or drive it on is when we have somebody with us who can back up a truck
