Im lost without the PW thread!!!!

My buddy's 2010 MB Sports F23 just blew a tranny after the impeller went out. Temp only got to 200 on the engine but no bells or whistles for the trans. He has the PCM 409 which has closed cooling.

maybe seadek could be an upgrade for the winter...along with FAE, Syn1 and XXX, and other things I'm sure I'll think are necessary

I think it must be operator error, not an equipment malfunction....but I'll need to find another operator to verify

Should be able to find and operator at most any corner in your neck of the woods

Hey, Guapo - what brand boat lift do you have? Thinking about getting a slip on Mead, but the price of new lifts scares me, and I'm too impatient to wait for months or years to find a decent used one that would work.

Only reason I have that brand is because I was able to get it used. As a gauge for pricing, a friend just bought a used 6500# econolift for $3800...but the guy was desperate to sell it. New would have been somewhere in the $5500 range...I think. I bought mine used (installed) for $4300.

I honestly didn't shop around. The marina I keep my boat at had two options...buy new from them or buy a used one from them. Nice eh? Now it seems they've loosened up a bit. Having the lift is great. It really maximizes our time on the lake.
