what a great accomplishment - I think it is huge to be learning how it feels to be a winner at a young age and wanting to do more of it! Congratulations

Thanks - I'm excited for them, too!
Their coaches this year have been great. They have worked tirelessly with all the kids, but they expect the kids to work, also. They take it seriously, but not over the top. They've taught them that playing well will usually win you the game, but if the other team plays even better than you...then congratulate them and hold your head high. And they stress that it is about fun, but it's even more fun if you are playing hard, playing well, and winning. We couldn't have asked for better coaches. Both our boys have improved tremendously.
They've got a couple other trophies from other sports - but they are just "participation" awards. My wife and I are making sure they understand that this trophy is different - that it means more because it represents a lot of hard work and a great accomplishment.
