OK - the "Amanda" is supposedly fixed now

Shop said that it appears that, when they replaced an air filter during Saturday's servicing, a chunk must've torn off and somehow got lodged into the air intake. It could idle, but the moment you tried to give it any gas, it would suck in more air, pulling the foam chunk apparently tripping some sensor, which would immediately kill the engine.

I dunno - all I know is they said it now works, and no charge - other than our time and frustration.

The dinglets play in the league semifinal tonight

If they win, they will then have the final tomorrow, plus they will play in a tournament that includes the top teams from four different leagues.

If they lose, their season is over. I really don't want them to lose - mostly because the team they play tonight is a bunch of sore losers (at least the parents) who have blamed every one of their losses so far this year on bad calls, etc...even accusing the other teams of cheating.
